What is Global Competency?
Global Competence is necessary for navigating our complex and increasingly globally connected world. Global competence refers to the skills, attributes, and behaviors necessary to succeed in the world today. It is essential that educators provide their students with global competencies to ensure students thrive in a diverse, interconnected, and ever changing world. Global competency skills include communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem solving. In addition, global competency includes curiosity, empathy, empowerment, and understanding the interconnections between the human and natural worlds.
